The WMS Solution Specialist at NewCold serves as the principal consultant responsible for the development, implementation, and testing of the WMS in cold stores and
leads the configuration, testing, integration, and training stages of operational projects.
The WMS Solution Specialist’s area of responsibility is Europe, and depending on the project, you will spend approximately 25% of your time at customers’ sites in Europe.
You will work closely with various departments within NewCold and at the customer’s site.
Within operational projects, you will report to the IT Delivery Manager for Europe.

The ideal WMS Solution Specialist

What will you do?
- Define and design efficient warehouse processes in collaboration with customers: Understand their specific requirements, map workflows, and align processes with industry best practices and standards.
- Configure WMS and other logistics systems to meet each warehouse’s unique needs: Set system parameters and ensure seamless integration with related logistics and supply chain applications (e.g., Transport Management and Data Analytics).
- Collaborate with engineering teams to deliver tailored solutions.
- Test the product with the customer and resolve issues as they arise.
- Manage product scope closely to ensure a high-quality launch that meets NewCold’s standards.
- Act as the customer’s advocate, preventing scope creep from initial requirements through implementation and handover.
- Train operations staff on new systems and processes
- Travel frequently up to 25% of your time within Europe to support customers on-site.
The ideal WMS Solution Specialist
- You have a bachelor working and thinking level
- You have good knowledge of logistic / warehouse management / supply chain processes
- You are experienced in using WMS software and have an affinity with IT
- You display leadership skills and you are a good communicator
- You have the willingness to travel around for ca. 25% of your time within Europe
- You are highly proficient in English, any other European language is a plus
