PHP Developer (English version)

Q-go is a young, innovative, high tech company, headquartered in Amsterdam. Q-go develops sophisticated language technology and helps visitors of websites intuitively and rapidly find answers. Qualitatively good, relevant answers are more important than showing hundreds of results based on keywords only. Q-go understands the question by semantic and grammatical analysis and shows the most relevant answers. Customers of Q-go are large (international) companies such as ING, Fortis, KLM,ABP, ANWB, Deutsche Postbank en Deutsche Telekom. Q-go develops, tests, supports and hosts its own technology. The company grows and currently has around 50 employees. Within the Development team of 10 heads there is a vacancy for a PHP Developer.

Within a team of 10 colleagues you will be working on further development of Q-go’s intelligent language technology. The software is written in C++ en PHP5. The software is being developed to support seven different languages. The software platform makes use of innovative solutions and tools. To be considered a good PHP Developer you will have to demonstrate your qualities to write good smart software as well as your abilities to come up with creative solutions for challenging problems.

• You a completed education in information science, at least on a Higher Vocational Education (HBO) level
• You have several years of experience working in software development using PHP5 and JavaScript
• You have at least two years experience with Linux/Unix environments
• You have good knowledge of SQL
• You have experience working with OO, XML en SOAP
• You have a good command of both the Dutch and English language
• You are result oriented, customer oriented, creative and inquisitive
